Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint the trustees to the temple of Arulmighu Kalluritha Kali Amman Kovil, situated at Kallkurichi Village, Idaiyathi Mangalam Panchayat, Manmelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District and the petitioner's name may be considered for the appointment of trustee in the above said temple. ORDER

The above writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the trustees to the temple of Arulmighu Kalluritha Kali Amman Kovil, situated at Kallkurichi Village, Idaiyathi Mangalam Panchayat, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, which shall also include the petitioner.

The petitioner would contend that the temple in question, namely, Arulmighu Kalluritha Kali Amman Temple situated at Kallkurichi Village, Idaiyathi Mangalam Panchayat, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, is under the control of the HR&CE Department and the Poosari was being appointed for conducting one time Pooja. The petitioner would further contend that his father P.Moorthy was appointed as a trustee of the temple and he had performed the Kumbabisegam in the temple and was maintaining the same. After that, no trustee had been appointed by the respondent Department till date. Every year, during the Tamil month of Vaigasi, the festivals have been conducted for nearly, seven days.

Though Kumbabisegam was being conducted, the petitioner is unable to make arrangements to renovate the temple, since there is no trustee for the said temple. Therefore, the above writ petition. 3.Considering the limited request of the petitioner and after hearing Mr.P.

petitioner dated 20.04.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
