ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court seeking for a direction to the first respondent to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's dwelling house situated at Plot No.3, in Survey No.1041/3A in Ayyalur Village, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul District.

2. The first respondent refused to provide service connection to the petitioner's dwelling house stating that the second respondent has objected to the same and a suit in O.S.No.61 of 2011 for declaration in relation to the subject survey number is pending consideration before the jurisdictional civil Court. The petitioner states that the said suit has been dismissed on 01.09.2025 and in the absence of any order of restrained there is no impediment for the first respondent to provide service connection.

3. Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent submitted that the service connection to the petitioner's dwelling house will be provided in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. The suit having been dismissed by the jurisdictional civil Court, there is no legal impediment for the first respondent to provide service connection.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to provide service connection to the petitioner's dwelling house in the said survey number within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order subject to the petitioner satisfying other criteria.

6. There shall be no orders as to costs.
