This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the third respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioners relating to property in S.Nos.563/2, 563/2A, 563/2B and 563/3 having area of 67 cents at Kullapuram, Periyakulam, Theni District The petitioners have given an application on 03.04.2023. 2.Heard Mr.A.Joseph Jerry, learned Counsel for the petitioners and Mr.N.Muthu Vijayan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.
3.The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents pointed out that within a period of twenty days from the date of submitting the application, the Writ Petition has been filed. It is stated that the respondents have also other official duties to discharge and that the petitioners cannot claim preferential treatment, merely, they had filed 2/5
an application.
4.In the affidavit, it had been stated that the petitioners have purchased the property by sale deed, dated 24.08.2016 registered as Doc.No.1841/2016 before of the Sub Registrar at Periyakulam. 5.A direction is given to the third respondent to examine the application filed by the petitioners herein and thereafter, issue notice to the petitioners and also to any other persons, particularly, the adjacent land owners and if there are no disputes, pass necessary orders on the representation and if there are disputes, then pass orders with reasons for refusal to grant patta. The entire exercise should be completed on or before 31.08.2023.
6.The Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
