O R D E R

The petitioner, claiming to be a worshipper of Sri Selliyamman Temple, Sengeerai Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, is before this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to extend police protection for conducting the Kuthirai Eduppu Festival and other temple festivals, on the apprehension that certain persons belonging to South Street of Sengeerai Village are likely to cause obstruction, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.04.2026.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered till date.

3. Mr. M. Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3, submitted that the 2/5

petitioner's representation will be considered by the third respondent in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. The said submission is taken on record.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.04.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on or before 20.04.2026.

5. There shall be no order as to costs.
