O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No. 22 of 2020 on the file of the CCB Tirunelveli and to file final report within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the defacto complainant in the abovesaid case and the case was registered for the offences under Sections 406, 418 and 420 IPC on 02.04.2019. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though continuous complaints were given by the petitioner from 2010 onwards, the First Information Report came to be filed only at the intervention of the Prime Minister's Grievance Cell through its communication. Even after registration of the First Information Report, there is no progress in the investigation and hence, this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that so far 7 witnesses have been examined and the application filed for obtaining anticipatory bail was dismissed and the accused is absconding. He seeks 1 month time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

After filing final report before the concerned court, compliance report shall be sent to the Registry.
