PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.180 of 2021 on the file of the Respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A1, who was arrested on 20.06.2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1-a), 4(1-aaa) and 4(1-A) of TNP Act in Crime No.180 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. This is the second bail petition filed by the petitioner and the earlier petition filed by the petitioner in Crl.O.P(MD) No. 8491 of 2021 was dismissed on 29.06.2021 on the ground that 19 similar previous cases are pending against him.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that 23 similar previous cases are pending against the petitioner, out of which he was convicted in eight cases and other cases are yet to be taken on file.

4. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner and the tendency to commit repeated offences under the prohibition act and the fact that the petitioner was convicted in eight cases, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
