Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 7th respondent to pay a sum of Rs.51,95,162/- to the petitioner being the amount due for the completion of the execution of the civil contract work, based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2018. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 7th respondent to pay a sum of Rs.51,95,162/- to the petitioner, being the amount alleged to be due towards completion of the execution of the civil contract work, based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.10.2018.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the 7th respondent submitted that, even prior to the filing of the writ petition, a sum of Rs.50,58,613/- had already been disbursed to the petitioner. In this regard, he has also produced a written instruction dated 12.11.2025.

3. However, according to the petitioner, as of June 2019, the amount payable was Rs.51,95,162/-.

4. Recording the above, this writ petition is disposed of. If there is any discrepancy in the amount payable, it is open to the petitioner to make an appropriate claim before the competent authority as this court cannot go into disputed questions of fact which require evidence.
