[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reasons stated in accompanying Affidavit, it is prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS or order or direction in the nature of writ directing the Respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adal Padal scheduled to be held on 28.04.2023, at about 07.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. in connection with "Chithirai Festival" in the month of "Chithirai" in Arulmighu Sri Devi, Poodevi, Sri Venkatesa Perumal, Sri Anjaneyar and Sri

Karudalwar Temple at Maligai Punjai, Silattur Post, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District-614 624 by consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2023 and pass such other or further orders as this Honourabel Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice."

4. There will be a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 15.04.2023 and grant permission for Adal Padal Programme between 07.00 p.m. and 09.00 p.m., subject to the other usual conditions.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
