PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondent Police to file a final report in Crime No.347 of 2020, on the file of the Bazar Police Station, Ramanathapuram.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondent Police to file a final report in Crime No.347 of 2020, on the file of the fifth respondent.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 4 and 5.

3.The submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 4 and 5 reveals the fact that in respect of the petition mentioned offence, various cases have been registered in various dates. According to him, more than 5000 victims in the alleged occurrence. He would specifically state that in earlier, the Director General of Police, issued a proceedings for clubbing all the cases and also for transferring all the cases to the Economic Offence Wing-II, Madurai. The said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.10072 of 2020 4.More than that, it is pertinent to note that this Court while at the time of disposing the similar applications, directed the EOW-II Wing, Madurai, to file a status report before this Court every month in respect of the progress made during the time of investigation. Therefore, specific order for filing a final report is not necessary in this case.

5.Accordingly, with the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
