JUDGMENT
[Judgment of the Court was delivered by PUSHPA SATHYANARAYANA, J.] The writ petition in W.P(MD)No.19800 of 2016 was filed seeking for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents therein to issue ID number to two of the students of the writ petitioner/college and permit them to write the mid-semester examination for 1st Semester B.Sc(Agri) Degree Programme, scheduled between 14.10.2016 to 21.10.2016, wherein interim direction was given, vide order dated 14.10.2016 passed in W.M.P(MD)No.14298 of 2016 in W.P(MD) No.19800 of 2016, directing the respondents therein to permit the students to writ the examinations on the above mentioned dates.
2. However, the present writ appeal has been preferred by the appellant/university as against the interim direction given by the learned single Judge and an order of interim stay was also granted by the Division Bench of this Court. Therefore, it is stated that the students did not write the examinations. Ultimately, the writ petition was withdrawn by the writ petitioner. Hence, the present writ appeal, which is filed against the interim order passed in the writ petition, has automatically become infructuous.
3. Accordingly, the writ appeal is dismissed as infructuous. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
