The prayer in the writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.1 to grant emergency leave to the petitioner's son namely, Jothi Murugan (Convict Prisoner No.2193) for a period of 15 days from 28.05.2024 to 11.06.2024, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2024, within a time frame. 2.

Due to chest pain, the prisoner's mother (petitioner's wife) was admitted in a hospital and a operation was conducted, in which, a stent was placed in the heart of the prisoner's mother.
