ORDER
Mr.K.K.Ramakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for respondents 1 and 2. Notice to the respondents 3 to 9 is dispensed with in view of nature of the order to be passed by this Court.
2.By consent of both parties, this Criminal Original Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.According to the petitioner, he made a representation, dated 31.07.2018 seeking to give adequate police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members. No order has been passed till date. Hence, the petitioner filed this present Criminal Original Petition before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation filed by the petitioner would be considered by the second respondent in accordance with law.
5.In the light of the above facts and circumstances and considering the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 31.07.2018 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of the copy of this order, after providing an opportunity to the parties concerned. 6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original petition is disposed of.
