Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to appoint petitioner as Sub Inspector of Police in pursuance of the cut of marks secured by him in the recruitment process conducted in the year 1997-98 as per the orders of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal in O.A. No. 9825/1998 etc. dated 19.07.2001 and also based on Judgment passed in SLP No. 21828/2006 in Civil Appeal No. 7667/14 etc dated 07.08.2014 and disburse all service and monetary benefits. JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the Court was delivered by M.DURAISWAMY,J.) Challenging the order passed in W.P.(MD)No.20273 of 2014, the State has filed the above Writ Appeal.
2. The respondent/writ petitioner filed the writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to appoint him as Sub-Inspector of Police in pursuance of the cut of marks secured by them in the recruitment process conducted in the year 1997-1998 as per the orders of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal in O.A.No.9825/1998 etc., dated 19.07.2001 and also based on the judgment passed in S.L.P.No.21828/2006 in Civil Appeal No.7667/2014 etc., dated 07.08.2014 and disburse all service and monetary benefits.
3. The learned Single Judge, after taking into consideration the case of both sides, allowed the writ petition. Aggrieved over the same, the State has filed the above Writ Appeal.
4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.A.K.Baskara Pandian, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the appellants submitted that the appellants have already implemented the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.20273 of 2014 and issued an order of G.O.Ms.No.614, Home (Police-III) Department, dated 22.06.2018 and that in view of the same, the Writ Appeal can be closed.
5. The learned Counsel appearing for the respondent also submitted that the appellants have implemented the order passed in the writ petition.
6. In view of the submissions made by the learned Counsel appearing on either side, since the appellants have already implemented the order passed in the writ petition by G.O.Ms.No.614, Home (Police-III) Department, dated 22.06.2018, the Writ Appeal is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Civil Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
