Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of certiorari calling for the records pertaining to the impugned transfer order issued by the third respondent in his proceedings Ku.No.1897/372/Ni.Pi.3/Ni.Vu 1/Ko.Ni.Pa/2019 dated 24.06.2019 which was served on me 25.06.2019 transferring me from Semmangudy to Orathanadu Thiruvonam and consequential order of relieving issued by the fifth respondent dated 25.06.2019.

O R D E R

The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of certiorari to quash the impugned transfer order, dated 24.06.2019, issued by the third respondent transferring the petitioner from Semmangudy to Orathanadu Thiruvonam and the consequential relieving order, issued by the fifth respondent dated 25.06.2019.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Electricity Board submitted that subsequent to the passing of the impugned transfer and relieving orders, the respondent Electricity Board has passed a fresh transfer order, dated 04.05.2021, transferring the petitioner to Pattukottai and therefore, the relief sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has not disputed the aforesaid fact. Further, he would submit that challenging aforesaid order dated 04.05.2021, the petitioner has also filed W.P.(MD) No.9437 of 2021 and the same is still pending.

4. In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
