The writ petition has been filed against the order passed by the respondent rejecting the application of the petitioner, who seeks to pursue B.A.LL.B. Course during the academic year 20182019, on the ground that he had studied Higher Secondary Course privately.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the Honourable Full Bench of this Court, vide order dated 13.03.2018 passed in W.P.No.31043 of 2017, has held that even a private student is eligible to pursue Law Degree. In view of the same, the basis of the rejection order stands removed.

3. However, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner's candidature cannot be considered in the third Counselling scheduled to be conducted on 10.10.2018, since he did not secure required cut-off mark. However, he would be considered in the fourth Counselling depending on the outcome https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the third Counselling, if the seats remain unfilled even after third Counselling.

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels on either side and recording the same, this Court is of the view that no further orders are necessary to be passed in this writ petition and the same is, therefore, closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
