ORDER

Heard Mr.R.Ramasamy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Chellapandian, learned standing counsel for the respondents.

2. The prayer in the Writ Petition is for a Mandamus, directing the first respondent to sanction the subsidy as per the first respondent's letter No.Jn.S.2/42468/08, dated 18.01.2011 to the petitioner and his family members.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the first respondent announced JnNURM Scheme to construct a house to replace hut. The petitioner and his two wives Chandra Balan and Santha Balan are the beneficiaries of JnNURM Scheme implemented by the first respondent in 2011, under Application Nos.4168, 4176, 4174 respectively. The total amount for a house is Rs.1,30,000/-. The petitioner and his two wives were also duly sanctioned the work order under Circular https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.14467 of 2019 No.6, dated 31.07.2007. The contribution on the side of the first respondent is Rs.91,000/- each. Out of which, the first respondent has already paid Rs.75,000/- only in respect of Santha Balan alone and the remaining amount of Rs.16,000/- is yet to be paid. In respect of the work orders issued to the petitioner and his wife Chandra Balan are concerned, the total contribution of the first respondent ie., Rs.91,000/- each is yet to be paid.

The learned counsel for the respondents says that unless the photograph of the completed building along with electricity service connection and other relevant documents as required by the respondents are furnished, the balance amount will not be released in respect of the work order issued to Santha Balan. In respect of the petitioner and Chandra Balan, the work orders issued to them were cancelled.

5 Hence, the petitioner is directed to produce documents as required by the first respondent in this connection, within a week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such production, the first respondent is directed to release the balance sum of Rs.16,000/- in respect of the work order issued in respect of Santha Balan, within three weeks thereafter.

With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
