Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the Principal District and Sessions Judge (Special Court for P.C.R), Pudukkottai to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of his surrender before that court in connection with Crime No. 66 of 2024 . ORDER:- This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon

hearing the arguments of Mr.N.Anandakumar , Advocate for the Petitioner and of Mr.M.Muthumanikkam Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2, this Court made the following order:

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition had been filed seeking to amend the prayer in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.6846 of 2024 and order copy dated 08.05.2024, as to direct the Principal District and Sessions Judge (Special Court for PCR), Pudukottai for considering the bail petition of the petitioner on the same day of his surrender, instead of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Pudukkottai.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that he had no objection for allowing this Petition.

3.Hence, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered. Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendment, as prayed for.

4. Further, the learned Counsel for the petitioner seeks extension of time to furnish sureties in Crl.OP(MD) No.6486 of 2024, dated 08.05.2024 and the time is extended by two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to furnish the sureties.
