Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

2.The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to mutate the patta in the petitioner's name and dispose of his online representation dated 28.03.202023. The petitioner claims under registered sale deed and admittedly, patta stands in the name of the vendor of the petitioner. The petitioner has sought for transfer of said patta in his name and accordingly, made an online application. The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the said online application.

3.Mr.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader submits that there is a mistake with regard to the survey number and hence, the petitioner may have to rectify the sale deed before becoming entitled to patta.

4.Considering the fact that the petitioner's vendor has already been issued patta, the same can also be taken into account and orders be passed on the petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2023, on merits and in accordance with law and if necessary, survey can be conducted before passing final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2023. The said exercise shall be carried out within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
