ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police, in connection with a case in Crime No.231 of 2023, for the offence punishable under Sections 120 B, 294(b), 406, 420 and 506(i) IPC, has filed this petition seeking anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has promised the defacto complainant to get a Government job, for which, he has paid a sum of Rs.26,89,500/- to the petitioner. However, the petitioner has failed to get the job and not returned the amount. The accused has also threatened the defacto complainant with dire consequences. Hence the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.Earlier this Court by order, dated 10.06.2024, has granted interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner and directed him to appear before the respondent police and cooperate for the investigation. 5.Today, the investigation officer has filed a detailed report as to the role played by the petitioner and number of victims in this case. The investigation officer has also collected some audio clippings.

6.Considering the said report, this Court is of the opinion that since it is a job racketing case, only by way of custodial interrogation, money can be recovered from the petitioner. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant any relief to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
