ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police 1/4

for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 474 and 120(B) IPC, in Crime No.20 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant have an absolute possession and enjoyment over the property in Re-survey No.212/3 through registered sale deed in document No.1611/1988, dated 22.09.1988 and plot No.308, situated at Sri Meenakshi Amman Nagar, Tiruppalai, Madurai. Further, on 18.04.2024 the defacto complainant visited his land and at that time, some of the unknown persons occupied and tried to construct a house. All the accused were criminally conspired and forged the sale deed in favour of them and the same was registered before the Registrar Office. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that this petitioner is the main accused. The investigation is going on 2/4

and the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary and hence, he prays for dismissal of this application.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the gravity of the offence, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is necessary and that the investigation is at initial stage, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
