[R-5 suo motu impleaded as per the order of this Court dated 18.10.2019 in W.P.(MD)No.14600 of 2019] : Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to transfer the petitioner's electricity service connection No.05-172-005-1987 from Sikkandar Chavadi to S.No.22/144C, Koodalpudur, Thathaneri Village, within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner is seeking transfer of electricity connection to the new location of the Saw Mill, namely Velmurugan Saw Mill. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

2. Heard the submissions made on either side.
3. This Court suo motu impleaded the District Forest Officer, Madurai, as a party-respondent to the Writ Petition, who is the competent authority to grant permission for shifting of Saw Mill.
4. However, according to the Wood Based Industries Guidelines 2016, shifting of Saw Mill requires recommendation of the District Level Committee followed by the approval of the State Level Committee. Till date, the application sent by the petitioner is lying with the District Level Committee.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the application is of the year 2018, a direction is issued to the District Level Committee to consider the application of the petitioner and take appropriate action either to recommend or not to recommend to the State Level Committee for approval forthwith. If any such recommendation is made, the State Level Committee shall take a decision in accordance with law, either to approve or not to approve the application of the petitioner, within a period of four weeks therefrom. On the basis of the orders of the State Level Committee, the respondents shall take appropriate action, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of order from the State Level Committee.
6. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
