O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct Kabadi Competition to be held on 10.05.2025 and 11.05.2025 Saturday and Sunday in Light Effect at Devadhasnagar Play Ground, North Street, Madenpillaitharmam, Levenjipuram Village Panchayat, Tirunelveli District by considering the petitioners representation dated 04.04.2025.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the member of the political party, namely Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam and the village people decided to conduct Kabadi competition on 10.05.2025 and 11.05.2025 at Devadhasnagar Play Ground, North Street, Madenpillaitharmam, Levenjipuram Village Panchayat, Tirunelveli District. Therefore, the petitioner sent the representation dated 04.04.2025, to the second respondent, but the same has not been 2/5

considered. Hence this petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner's representation is under consideration and they will conduct enquiry and take appropriate decision, in accordance with law.

4.Considering the prayer sought for in this petition and the Kabadi tournament is one of the sport events, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation favorably and grant permission by imposing appropriate conditions in accordance with law. 5.With the above observations and direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
