PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to consider and pass orders on appeal / revised plan dated 08.03.2025 received on 10.03.2025 within a reasonable time and consequently directing 3 and 4 respondents herein to remove the lock and seal of the show room in Door No.107/2A, Union Bank Colony, Vilangudi-I Bit Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J. NISHA BANU, J.) This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the appeal/revised plan dated 08.03.2025 received on 10.03.2025 within a reasonable time and consequently to direct the respondents 3 and 4 to remove the lock and seal of the show room in Door No.107/2A, Union Bank Colony, Vilangudi-I Bit Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District. 2/6

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners submitted an application before the second respondent for approval on 10.03.2025 and the same is pending consideration before the second respondent.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the appeal preferred by the petitioners will be disposed of by the second respondent in accordance with law within a time frame.

4.In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, directs the second respondent to dispose of the appeal preferred by the petitioners and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/6

5.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
