This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the respondents 1 to 4 to grant permission to conduct the temple festival on 11.06.2022 and 12.06.2022 at Arulmigu Sri Ankalaeswari, Sri Sankaiah Temple, Alagar Naickanpatti Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District based on the petitioner's representation dated 27.05.2022 and 04.06.2022. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.11631 of 2022 2.Heard Mr.A.Robinson, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Sureshkumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. 3.In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks direction against the respondents 1 to 4, Revenue Divisional Officer, Deputy Superintendent of police, Inspector of Police, Sub-Inspector of Police, not to grant permission to conduct the temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Ankalaeswari, Sri Sankaiah Temple, Alagar Naickanpatti Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District, which scheduled to be held on 11.06.2022 and 12.06.2022. Granting permission for conducting any public function or procession, the power vested with the respondents. The statutory functions of the respondents 1 to 4 cannot be restrained by issuing writ. Hence, this writ petition is unsustainable and liable to be dismissed.
