ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct Hunger Strike on 26.04.2025 or any other date at Anna Salai chathiram Bus Stand, Near Anna Statue, Tiruchirappalli From 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M by considering the petitioner's Representation dated 03.04.2025.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the date fixed by the petitioner to conduct Hunger Strike ie., on 26.04.2025 was already lapsed. Hence, the prayer sought for by the petitioner is become infructuous.

3. Since the date fixed by the petitioner to conduct Hunger Strike ie., on 26.04.2025 was already lapsed, no further orders are required to be passed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the respondent by fixing a future date. If any application is being filed, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the same and grant permission 2/4

to conduct Hunger Strike, by imposing appropriate conditions in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
