PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned suspension order dated 21.06.2019 passed by the second respondent vide his proceedings No.LD4TN/2359 and quash the same insofar as the suspension of the petitioner from service is concerned.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the suspension order dated 21.06.2019, passed by the second respondent in proceedings No.LD4TN/2359.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that since the impugned suspension order dated 21.06.2019, has already been revoked by the respondent Corporation, nothing survives for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

further adjudication in this writ petition.

4.In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it is suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to conclude the departmental disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to conclude the departmental disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner and take a decision within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
