[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.
2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit it is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a WRIT OF MANDAMUS or order or direction in the nature of writ directing the respondent to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 22.05.2023 at night in connection with "Poochorithal & Pongal Festival" in Arulmigu Sri Muthumariamman Kovil at Karaiyur Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2023
and pass such further or other order as this Hon'ble Court may be deemed fit and proper in this circumstances of this case and thus render justice."
4. There will be a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner dated 10.04.2023 well in advance and grant permission for Adal Padal Programme between 07.00 p.m. and 09.00 p.m., subject to the other usual conditions.
5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
