Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the third respondent comprised in its Resolution No.680 dated 15/10/2018 and the consequential Final Notification No.A2/4237/2018 dated 08/11/2018 published by the 3rd respondent in the Virudhunagr District Gazette (Special Publication), and quash the same as illegal, arbitrary and violative of the provisions of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 as also the guidelines issued by the second respondent dated 20/08/2018 in ROC No. 20555/2018/R1 and consequently direct the respondents to ensure strict compliance of the provisions of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920 with respect to revision of property tax by following the procedure set out therein in its entirety.
