(Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging disobedience of the order of the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court dated 03.01.2023 made in W.P(MD).No.23255 of 2022.

2. Today, when this Contempt Petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.A.Thiruvadi Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents has submitted that the order of this Court has been complied with as the request of the petitioner for premature release of the detenu concerned, who is a life convict, having been considered, the Government has issued Government Order in G.O.(Ms).No.275, Home (Prison-IV) Department, dated 10.06.2023, under which, the unexpired portion of sentence has been remitted and the life convict, namely, Jeyakumar, son of 2/5

Duraipandi, Prisoner No.4013, confined in Central Prison, Madurai, was directed to be released prematurely.

3. A copy of the said Government Order has also been produced before this Court.

4. In view of the said order having been passed, this Court, recording the same, is inclined to close the contempt petition and accordingly, it is closed.
