Application reference No. 200054010426663 and quash the same consequently direct the 2nd respondents to provide electricity service connection on the basis petitioner online application No. 200054010426663 dated 01.04.2026 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition is filed challenging the impugned order dated 04.04.2026 passed by the 2nd respondent on the application made by the petitioner.

2. The petitioner's request for supply of electricity was rejected on the only ground that the petitioner's premises is located within 500 meters from Sambai Ootru. Challenging the said rejection order, the present writ petition came to be filed.

3.The issue on hand has already dealt with by me vide order dated 05.10.2023 in W.P(MD)No.4129 of 2022 (S.Nitheshraj Vs The District Colletor & Others).

4. Adopting the very same approach, the order impugned in this writ petition is set aside.

5.The second respondent is directed to provide electricity service connection to the petition mentioned premise subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities. This exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible.

6.This Writ Petition is allowed accordingly.

7. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
