The petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus seeking a direction to dispose of his application for subdivision and patta transfer, dated 01.04.2025 1/4

based on the registered sale deed in favour of the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

3. The petitioner seeks for subdivision patta to be issued by way of transfer of patta based on an application made on 01.04.2025. The petitioner claims to be entitled to the property based on devolution under Section 8 of the Hindu Succession Act, 1956. The property originally belonged to the petitioner's younger brother Ambalavanan, who had purchased the same under a registered sale deed, dated 28.02.1994 and subsequently he died intestate, as a bachelor. On the demise of the petitioner's mother, the petitioner has become entitled to share in the property.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner will have to produce relevant documents for transfer of patta based on the averments set out in the affidavit. He would take me trhrough the application made by the petitioner, where there are no parent documents attached to the said application.

5. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to produce all the relevant documents before the respondent within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. On receipt of the necessary documents from the petitioner, the respondent shall conduct enquiry and also give an opportunity to the petitioner to explain any of the documents, on which he places reliance and pass final orders on the petitioner's application within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of petitioner submitting the documents.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
