O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's dwelling house bearing Door No.1280/14, in Survey No.86, of Muthu Nagar, Kurunji Nagar, Vaniyangudi Village, Sivagangai, pursuant to the petitioner's application dated 27.03.2026.

2. Mr. S. Deenadhalayan, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the house property is located in poramboke land and, therefore, the application submitted by the petitioner for providing electricity service connection has not been considered.

3. The petitioner has produced property tax receipts, water charges receipts, and an Aadhaar card reflecting the said address, which indicates that the petitioner is residing in the said property. 2/4

4. In view of the above, the respondents are directed to provide electricity service connection to the petitioner for the subject property, after obtaining an indemnity bond and an undertaking letter from the petitioner.

5. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. There shall be no order as to costs.
