ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.N.MANJULA, J) This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 6 herein to refrain any person from organizing "Manjuvirattu/Jallikattu" festival in "Sri Kanavaai Karuppar" & "Sri Angalaparameswari" temples at Poolankuruchi Village, Sivagangai District on 26.05.2024 or any such dates for the year 2024. 2.Heard Mr.T.Cibichakraborthy, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4 & 6, Mr.RMS.Sethuraman, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for 5th respondent and Mr.K.Mahendran, learned counsel for 7th respondent.
3.By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that by issuance of G.O(D).No.261 Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare (AH3-2) Department, dated 16.05.2024, 'Poolankurichi' village has been notified and included in the list of villages which can conduct "Jallikattu/Manjuvirattu".
5. However, now the petitioner has come out with a grievance that even though 'Poolankurichi' village has been notified and permission has been granted by the District Collector, some private persons have made it as a community festival without including the petitioner's community also in the said festival.
6. In such case, it is for the petitioner to give a representation to the District Collector and allow the District Collector to pass orders after making an enquiry in this matter.
7. At this juncture, it is brought to the notice of this Court that a Peace Committee Meeting has been held in this regard and the parties were required to appear tomorrow (23.05.2024) in continuation thereof. 4/7
8. In such case, the first respondent - District Collector, Sivagangai District, is directed to take a call in this matter. The petitioner is also at liberty to participate in the Peace Committee Meeting and make his submission and the first respondent shall also consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders suiting to the prevailing conditions.
With the above observations/directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
