This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Madurai to expedite and complete the trial in C.C.No.71 of 2017, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that charge sheet was filed in the year 2017 and for the past six years, there is no progress in the trial proceedings.

3.The learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondent police submits that within six [6] months, the entire process will be completed.

4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondent police. 2/5

5.Considering the fact that the charge sheet has been filed in the year 2017, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Madurai, to complete the trial process in C.C.No.71 of 2017, within a period of six [6] months from the date of receipt a copy of this order. 6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
