ORDER
The petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay compensation for the petitioner's land being used for laying a road.
2. I have heard Mr.K.Arunraj, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate appearing for the ffith respondent.
3. The petitioner has already given a representation dated 01.10.2024, complaining about taking over of his patta land without 2/5
following due process of law, viz., taking acquisition proceeding, paying compensation to petitioner.
4. In the light of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, it would suffice to dispose of the writ petition, directing the fifth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.10.2025 and pass orders on the entitlement of the petitioner for compensation for the petitioner's patta land being taken over for the purposes of laying the road. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
