This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 to give permission and to provide adequate police protection to conduct on 26.05.2024 Kaappu Kattutahal function, thereafter from 02.06.2024 to 04.06.2024 for worship the God namely Sri Mariamman and Sri Muthalamman Temples Thiruvizha as per customs at Palamalaiyanpatti, Sendurai Village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 18.05.2024.

The petitioner has submitted a representation on 18.05.2024 seeking permission to conduct Kaappu Kattuthal function on 26.05.2024 and thereafter, from 02.06.2024 to 04.06.2024 for worship the God, namely Sri Mariamman and Sri Muthalamman Temples Thiruvizha as per customs at Palamalaiyanpatti, Sendurai Village, Natham Taluk, Dindigul District. Since the respondents have not considered the representation of the petitioner, this petition has been filed.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court hereby directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 18.05.2024 and pass appropriate orders. The petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent in person on 24.05.2024. Thereafter, the second respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on the same day itself, since they have scheduled to conduct the function from 26.05.2024.

4. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 22.05.2024 NCC : Yes/No Internet:Yes/No Index:Yes/No GBG Note : Issue order copy on 23.05.2024.
