This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to take immediate action based on petitioners representation dated 19.04.2025.
2.According to the petitioner, he lodged a complaint before the second respondent on 09.04.2025 against the Forest Minister cum Deputy General Secretary of DMK, Mr.K.Ponmudi for the controversial remarks about the religion and women, but no action has been taken. Hence this petition.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the complaint of the petitioner was already considered and closed by the respondent police on 21.04.2025. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication. 4.Since the complaint of the petitioner was already closed by the second respondent and today copy of closure report also furnished to the petitioner, it is for the petitioner to challenge the closure report. 2/4
5.Accordingly, this petition is closed by preserving the liberty of the petitioner to challenge the closure report in the manner known to law, if he is aggrieved.
