ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner wants this Court to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to expedite the patta proceedings in respect of the petition mentioned survey numbers.

3.It is submitted that in respect of the petition mentioned three survey numbers, settlement patta was already granted in favour of the 2/4

private respondents way back in the year 1964 under the Tamil Nadu Act No.26 of 1963. The petitioner has not challenged the settlement patta proceedings and he was also not a rival claimant. When the settlement proceedings had attained finality and are holding good as on date, it is not open to the petitioner to seek cancellation of the revenue patta granted in favour of the contesting private respondents. There is no merit in this writ petition and it stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
