: Respondent PRAYER : This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to disburse the subsistence allowance to the petitioner as stated in the suspension order.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent for disbursing the subsistence allowance.

2. According to the petitioner, he was serving as Deputy Collector/Distillery Officer of Thiru.Aruran Sugar Milss, Tirumandangudi, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District, the Principal Secretary of the Government, Revenue and Disaster Management Department has issued a G.O.(2D)No.230, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Services Wing, Ser.2(1) Section, dated 29.06.2018, he was suspended from his service. According to the petitioner, he is entitled for subsistence allowance, for the period from 30.06.2018 to 31.10.2018, but, the respondent has not been paid any subsistence allowance to the petitioner. Hence, the instant writ petition is filed before this Court.

It is stated in the counter affidavit filed by the respondent that, after perused the certificates, the petitioner has been sanctioned the subsistence allowance by the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise (i/c) Chepauk, Chennai in his proceedings, dated 18.02.2019 in No.OP1(2)/2367/2018, and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

accordingly, the subsistence allowance sanctioned has been claimed and disbursed through ECS tot he petitioner on 01.03.2019 for the period from 29.06.2018 to 31.01.2019. Therefore, the request made by the petitioner was sanctioned by the concerned authorities and the same has been paid to the petitioner.

4. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that they have not been sanctioned the subsistence allowance for the remaining period.

5. In view of the above, it is open to the petitioner to approach the concerned authorities to seek his grievance for the remaining period. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
