The petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to give police protection for the purpose of conducting cultural programmes, Innisai Katcheri and other programme in connection with Parisutha Athisaya Panimatha Peralayam scheduled to be held on 02.08.2018 to 05.08.2018 at about 05.00 p.m. to 12.00 a.m.(mid night) at Matha Kalaiyarangam, South Kallikulam - 627 113, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 30.07.2018.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. The learned Government Advocate, on instructions would submit that the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Valliyoor has already granted permission to conduct the above said programme on 01.08.2018 with certain conditions and he also produced a copy of the said order. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this petition becomes infructuous.
4. In view of the above, this writ petition stands dismissed. No Costs. However, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the said order, he is at liberty to challenge the said order, if so advised.
