This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the first respondent to withdraw the investigation in Crime No.347 of 2020 from the file of the fifth respondent and to transfer the same to the CBI or CBCID. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 4 and 5.

Crl.OP.(MD) No.9989 of 2020 3.The submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 4 and 5 reveals the fact that in respect of the petition mentioned offences, in various Police Stations number of cases have been registered in various dates. According to him, in the alleged occurrence, more than 5000 victims are there. He would specifically state that in earlier, the Director General of Police, issued a proceedings for clubbing all the cases, which have been registered for the petition mentioned offences and also for transferring all those cases to the Economic Offence Wing-II, Madurai. The said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded.
4.More than that, it is pertinent to note that this Court while at the time of disposing the similar applications, this Court directed the EOW-II Wing, Madurai, to file a status report before this Court every month in respect of the progress made during the time of investigation. Therefore, specific order for transferring the investigation is not necessary in this case. 5.With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
