ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 23.04.2022. 1/3

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the respondents 4 to 8 are the same village people, they excommunicated the petitioner and his family members and also prevented other people to mingle with them. In this connection, a complaint had been lodged before the respondent police and the private respondents also lodged a complaint against the petitioner. Further, he stated that the investigation is pending for both the cases. Now, the petitioner has given an application to the respondent police for providing police protection to the petitioner and his family members.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner and the respondents 4 to 8 are the same community people. There was some dispute between them and hence, the village panchayat has ex-communicated the petitioner and his family members. In this regard, an FIR has been registered in Crime No.270 of 2021, for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 341, 323, 324 and 506(2) of IPC. and another FIR has also been registered in Crime No.271 of 2021 for the offences under Sections 341, 294(b) and 323 of IPC, as against the petitioner. For both the cases, investigation is in progress. Under these circumstances, this petition has been filed. 4.Considering the above, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 23.04.2022 and take suitable action in accordance with law.

5.With the above observation, this criminal original petition stands closed.
