This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondent/the Tahsildar, Thirupparankundram Taluk in Madurai, to consider the application given 1/4

by the petitioner dated 08.01.2021 for sub division of patta. 2.Heard Mr.R.V.Rajkumar, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Ms.D.Farjana Ghoushia, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent.

3.In the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition, it had been stated that the petitioner had purchased the property at Plot Nos.14, 15 and 26 situated at northern side of 4 ares in 44 ares and 70 cents at S.No. 154/3, Thanakkankulam Village, Madurai South by a Court auction held on 16.06.2008 in execution of decree in E.P.No.78 of 1998 in O.S.No. 644 of 1985 on the file of the III Addition Sub Court at Madurai. The petitioner had then filed an application for sub division of patta. 4.A direction is issued to the respondent to issue notice to the petitioner, examine the records and thereafter, on coming to satisfaction, proceed further to provide sub division of patta in accordance with the petitioner's representation. The entire exercise should be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this 2/4

order.
