ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court alleging that the respondent police is harassing him under the guise of an enquiry. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submits that the respondents are not harassing the petitioner. Based on the complaint given by the private respondent, the respondent Police have conducted an enquiry as against the petitioner and now the same is closed.

3.Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that already enquiry was conducted and the petitioner attended the enquiry. After the enquiry, the complaint has been closed. In spite of that, the respondent police are calling the petitioner for enquiry and hence, the petitioner has preferred the present petition before this Court.

4.In view of the above, since the complaint is closed, there is no necessity for the respondents to direct the petitioner to appear before them and therefore, the respondent police are directed not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. 22.05.2024 NCC :
