PRAYER:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Principal Secretary to Government Social Welfare Department, Chennai to pass orders counting 50% of services of the petitioner put in by him as Section Writer on daily wage for the period from 01.08.1984 to 30.11.1989 for the purpose of calculation of pension along with consolidated pay and regular services put in by him as Surveyor Cum Draftsman, Assistant and Superintendent and arrange to send revised pension proposals within a specified time frame, that may be fixed by this Court. Heard Mr.S.Visvalingam, learned counsel for the petitioner and D.S.Nedunchezhian, learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 2.The petitioner seeks a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent, being the Secretary to Government, Social Welfare Department, to pass orders counting 50% of the services of the petitioner put in by him as Section Writer on daily wage basis for the period from 01.08.1984 to 30.11.1989 for the purpose of calculation of pension fixation, consolidated pay along with regular services put by him, thereafter forward revised pension proposals for consequential payment.

W.P.[MD]No.15041 of 2019 3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would draw my attention to the last paragraph of the counter, wherein the third respondent ie., the Child Development Project Officer conveys that it is proposed to submit proposals to R2 on the basis of the report received from the Assistant Director of Survey and Land Records, Madurai, to the effect that the petitioner was serving as Section Writer on daily wages. He would submit that with this, plea as sought for would stand achieved.
4.This is recorded and this Writ Petition is closed. 5.However, as undertaken, let the proposals be sent for consequential orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of uploading of the order upon the official website of this Court. No costs.
