*********** [Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Alleging that his niece Annakamatchi, aged about 24 years who is deaf and dumb went missing from 29.05.2022 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her, the petitioner has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition with the above prayer. 2.Heard Mr.K.Arun Raj, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 3.On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that Annakamatchi was in love with one Dilip who is also a physically challenged person and got married to him in Samayapuram Temple on 30.05.2022. After marriage, on 31.05.2022, the couple appeared before the Inspector of Police, Samayapuram Police Station and sought for protection on the ground that their marriage is an https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
H.C.P.[MD]No.946 of 2022 inter-caste one. On the representation given by the couple, a petition enquiry in Samayapuram Police Station in C.S.R.No.210 of 2022 has been registered.
4.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor also submitted the photograph of the couple with garlands on. A copy of which is furnished to the learned Counsel for the petitioner across the Bar. 5.In such view of the matter, it cannot be stated that Annakamatchi is in the illegal custody of the respondents for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus.
