ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to give electricity connection in petitioner Door No. 2/115 of Porisipatti Village of Madurai East Taluk of Madurai District based upon the application of the petitioner, dated 25.05.2023 2.By consent of both parties, considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.Heard, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. Perused the materials on record. 4.When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Standing counsel for the respondent submitted that the application submitted by the petitioner seeking for electricity connection came to be rejected for not producing the particulars pertaining to property tax. 2/5

5.In response, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that only recently the subject property has been assessed in his name and the Village Administrative Officer has also issued a certificate to the petitioner in this regard.

6.In view of the above, the petitioner is at liberty to prefer an online application afresh along with all necessary documents to the third respondent and on receipt of the same, the third respondent is directed to dispose of the application by providing electricity connection to the petitioner within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of application. 7.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
