ORDER
The petitioner's claim for medical reimbursement has been favourably recommended by the District Level Empowered Committee (DLEC), pursuant to which, the United India Insurance Company has already disbursed the amount. 2.According to the petitioner, he is entitled for a sum of Rs.7,29,200/-, out of which, the Insurance Company has only reimbursed a sum of Rs.2,82,000/-. The petitioner is now aggrieved against the quantum of reimbursement made. 3.Under the New India Health Insurance Scheme, if the petitioner is aggrieved against the reimbursement amount quantified by the DLEC, it is open to him to file an appeal before the State Level Empowered Committee (SLEC). 2/4
4.Thus, in view of the reimbursement made by the Insurance Company, in accordance with the DLEC's recommendation, the petitioner is liberty to file an appeal before SLEC, against the orders of DLEC, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of such appeal, SLEC shall dispose of the same in accordance with law, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of such appeal. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
