O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a writ of Mandamus seeking a direction to the second respondent to register the Settlement Deed executed by the petitioner in favour of his sons.

2. The petitioner had made an on-line application in Temporary Reference No.TP/119906587/2022 on 16.05.2022.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has stated that the document was not presented before the respondents.

4. In view of the above, a direction is given to the petitioner to present the document for registration and thereafter, the respondents may examine the facts as to whether the property can be dealt with and 2/4

whether necessary stamp duty has been paid and whether the registration charges have been paid and thereafter, take a considered decision to register or not to register the document. The entire exercise must be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date on which the document is actually presented for registration.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
