This contempt petition is filed that the order of this Court in W.P(MD) No.696 of 2020 dated 17.12.2021 has not been complied with. 1/4

2.Today(19.07.2022), when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submits that in pursuant to the order of this Court and after due examination, the Government have decided to cancel the punishment of "removal from service" imposed on the petitioner and to permit him to retire from service from the date of his superannuation on 31.05.2012A.N, by revoking the suspension order, enabling him to receive his retiral benefits, as per Government Order in G.O.(2D) No.51, Commercial Taxes and Registration (A1) Department, dated 15.07.2022. Copy of the above Government order has also been produced before this Court.
